"Midwest Palm Tree is a solo project by Brian Saavedra. He used to own an iPod classic with 256gb of music ripped from library CDs. After his first live show playing the guitarron in a mariachi band, he decided that blues guitar was more his style. The iPod classic was stolen; a drum set, bass, and shitty Casio keyboard later, he ended up at "Midwest Palm Tree" – a heinous attempt at reviving the sound of alt-hits of the 70's and 80's through distortion and a strange concept of rhythm and beat."
